Speaker A:

This is the Daily note from jamesabrown.net I was visiting my mother last week.

Speaker A:

She was watching YouTube while creating beaded earring after beaded earring.

Speaker A:

And I, I was just there.

Speaker A:

A few minutes later, she said, what are you doing?

Speaker A:

Put that thing down.

Speaker A:

That thing was my iPhone.

Speaker A:

And as she put her hands back to work, I realized a few things.

Speaker A:

She was right.

Speaker A:

She deserved a few moments of mine.

Speaker A:

And we have thieves in our pockets.

Speaker A:

These phones, these pickpockets, they have no codges.

Speaker A:

And we do it to ourselves.

Speaker A:

But the real theft happens in moments like these.

Speaker A:

With my mother, I don't know how much longer I'll have her.

Speaker A:

But for those years, and hopefully decades to come, I'll do my best to keep that thief at bay as much as I can.

Speaker A:

On that note, I'm James A.

Speaker A:

Brown, and as always, be well.
